We all love to introduce big and happy changes in our lives. Who doesn’t love to have a life full of abundance and prosperity? We all want each day full of lovely surprises which can be celebrated with childlike enthusiasm to enjoy life like never before. We all want each moment of the day to be filled with a plethora of happiness and passion.
Who is the Inner Child?
The inner child is our childlike aspect, which resides inside each one of us. The health of our inner child depends on our childhood experiences. Childhood is one the best phase of our life, full of love and playfulness.
There can be some negative memories as well. The suppressed feelings of anger, rejection, insecurity, vulnerability, guilt, shame, or anxiety form the shape of an unhealed wound, which often aggravates when triggered with strong emotions. Healing of the inner child is essential for every one of us, as it involves accepting the traumas and wounds that caused us pain in some of the other forms, instead of fighting with them subconsciously.
Our childhood forms the base of our personality. It is how we see ourselves. Healing of the inner child is the fastest step towards self-love and self-acceptance. Our childhood forms the basic foundation of our personality. It is the total of all the emotions which we lived a long way back in the past, somewhere when we were little boys and girls, full of innocence and exuberance. Often hopeful aspirations for the future get overclouded by fear and uncertainty, affecting us, and our behavior throughout our life, triggered by specific situations and circumstances.
Over time, we get so engrossed into day to day affairs of life that we seldom think about our inner child. From our childhood till adulthood, we unknowingly suppress our true identity, especially our inner child.
